When I decided to start my own business just up the street from my house I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do. I knew I wanted to work for myself and do something totally fun and flexible but it took me a while to decide on opening a gallery of my own. I had tons of artist friends and I paint myself so it really just seemed natural once I started thinking about it! I had already found a great space and worked with my sister (she’s a designer) on getting it to look great and I went to http://Shopelectricityratestexas.com when I started setting up all the utilities. After a few sessions with a small business counselor and a local marketing blitz the doors opened and to my surprise, the place has been a great success! People seem to really like the concept and I know I love getting up everyday and heading into an office I love being in…it’s been my dream to do something like this and now here I am!
